Pengelolaan Identitas Penggemar K-Pop : Suatu Analisis Respon Terhadap Stigma

Abstract

K-Pop sebagai bagian dari fenomena budaya global, telah menjangkau Lombok, hingga melahirkan kelompok penggemar yang aktif. Namun, keberadaan penggemar K-Pop di Lombok seringkali diiringi stigma yang merendahkan para penggemar tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bentuk respon penggemar K-Pop di Lombok terhadap stigma yang diterima, serta bagaimana mereka mengelola identitas mereka berdasarkan perspektif Goffman. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori stigma dari Erving Goffman, khususnya konsep discredited dan discreditable stigma,untuk menganalisis startegi penggemar K-Pop di Lombok dalam mengelola identitas mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan menerapkan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis melalui tiga proses yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua bentuk respon yang ditunjukkan oleh penggemar K-Pop di Lombok, yaitu respon aktif dan respon pasif. Respon aktif terdiri dari memberikan penjelasan dan melakukan kegiatan sosial, sedangkan respon pasif yang dilakukan terdiri dari mengurangi minat terhadap K-Pop dan mengabaikan stigma. Penggemar K-Pop di Lombok cenderung menunjukkan sikap respon pasif, yang sesuai dengan konsep discredtable stigma, di mana penggemar K-Pop berusaha untuk tidak menujukkan minat mereka secara terbuka, sehingga memungkinkan masyarakat untuk tidak mengenali atau mengetahui mereka sebagai penggemar K-Pop.
