VISITANTES FLORAIS DE TURNERA SUBULATA SM. (PASSIFLORACEAE) NO MUNICÍPIO DE CUITÉ - PB

Abstract

As relacoes entre plantas e visitantes florais estao baseadas em uma troca de recompensas e em funcao uma gama de modificacoes morfologicas, estruturais, comportamentais e fisiologicas tem surgido ao longo da historia evolutiva desses grupos. Dado a importância desse tipo de estudo, especialmente desconhecido no dominio das caatingas da Paraiba, este trabalho objetivou realizar um levantamento dos visitantes florais de Turnera subulata no municipio de Cuite. Para tanto foram realizadas observacoes diretas em tres pontos distintos da area de estudo no periodo de 18 de abril a 20 de maio de 2016. Como resultado observou-se que 7 especies da ordem Hymenoptera, abelhas pertencentes as familias Andrenidae e Apidae e 2 especies de Lepidoptera, borboletas pertencentes a familia Hesperiidae, foram os visitantes de T. subulata durante o periodo de estudo. Comparando-se os dados obtidos com os de outros estudos realizados no estado de Pernambuco, verificou-se uma correlacao indicando que ha especificidade na relacao visitante-planta, no caso de T. subulata . Ficou tambem evidenciado que a abelha Protomeliturga turnerae realiza suas atividades de copula em partes vegetativas da planta. Ressalta-se, portanto, a necessidade de preservacao de tais ambientes.
