Razvojna psihologija na prelomu tisočletja – samokritična psihologija

Abstract

V prispevku so tematizirane novejše razprave v razvojni psihologiji, ki so se pod vplivom postmodernizma pojavile v osemdesetih letih. V njih se namesto samozadovoljnega poveličevanja lastne znanosti vse bolj uveljavljajo samokritična razmišljanja, ki se ukvarjajo s ponovnim proučevanjem, dekonstrukcijo in reinterpretacijo zgodovine te znanosti ter njenih temeljnih predpostavk. Opisanim razpravam je skupna kritika pozitivizma v psihologiji in kritika predpostavke o obstoju univerzalnega otroštva, ki zanemarja socialni kontekst. Kritično analizirajo tudi doslej samoumevne predpostavke o 'razvoju' in 'otroku', proučujejo problem aplikacije razvojne psihologije na področje vzgoje in izobraževanja ter razmišljajo o novih metodah in pristopih, ki v raziskovanje vključujejo tudi perspektive 'subjektov' proučevanja, to je zlasti otrok in njihovih staršev.
