Abstract

La Web 2.0 ha traído consigo un conjunto de herramientas que han contribuido a expandir una nueva forma de usar la Web: lectura/escritura. Estas herramientas se pueden agrupar en 4 grandes grupos: servicios para recuperar información, aplicaciones para compartir recursos (vídeos,…), herramientas para crear recursos (blogs y wikis) y redes sociales. La Red de Bibliotecas del CSIC a través de la Unidad de Recursos de Información Científica para la Investigación (URICI) ha ido progresivamente adoptando algunas de estas herramientas para crear contenidos, difundir información/servicios e interaccionar con los usuarios. Se comenzó con una nueva forma de organizar, consultar y visualizar la información contenida en las antiguas Web e Intranet usando Liferay (portal web) y Alfresco (administración de contenidos). Posteriormente se han incrementado los canales RSS (Really Simple Syndication) y se han incluido botones sociales (AddThis) con la finalidad de difundir y compartir información. Para la creación de contenidos y la participación se confeccionó el blog ECo y como red social se escogió Twitter. Sin lugar a dudas aún queda mucho por hacer en cuanto a redes sociales en la Red de Bibliotecas siempre y cuando sean de interés para la comunidad bibliotecaria del CSIC a la que sirve.
