Abstract

Des essais de synchronisation de l'oestrus sur vaches zébus sont rapportés. Sur des lots d'animaux distincts, 2 progestagènes, la Noréthandrolone et l'Acétate de Fluorogestone (FGA) ont été administrés par voie intramusculaire en traitements long et court. L'appoint d'oestrogène en début de traitement court et du PMSG, dans tous les cas, en fin de traitement, s'est avéré nécessaire. Ces essais se sont déroulés pendant 4 ans sur 356 femelles zébus. Dès la deuxième année d'essai, la technique utilisée a donné des résultats assez satisfaisants tant pour les manifestations de l'oestrus qui apparaissent bien synchronisées que pour les fécondations obtenues par insémination artificielle. A l'oestrus induit, la fécondation obtenue (26,7 p. 100) chez les vaches et 35,3 p. 100 chez les génisses) est comparable à celle enregistrée en première insémination sur femelles non traitées. La fécondité globale après retour en monte libre est augmentée sensiblement chez les vaches traitées, ce qui est dû à la réduction de la période d'anoestrus de lactation
