Etude d'un vaccin mixte contre le charbon bactéridien et le charbon symptomatique

Abstract

Un vaccin mixte contre le charbon bactéridien et le charbon symptomatique peut être fabriqué par addition de spores de Bacillus anthracis (capsulées, atténuées) à une culture totale de Clostridium chauvoei neutralisée par la Bêta-propiolactone. Le pH (4) n'est pas rectifié après l'addition de 1 p. 100 d'alun de potassium (adjuvant), ce qui préserve ultérieurement le vaccin des contaminations bactériennes. A la dose de 2 ml (par voie sous-cutanée) chez les bovins, les épreuves d'innocuité et d'efficacité habituellement exigées sont respectées. Plus de 6 millions de doses de ce vaccin ont été employés jusqu'ici sans aucun incident ni rupture d'immunité
