Abstract

Objetivo: analisar os fatores associados � visita domiciliar na popula��o idosa e suas caracter�sticas segundo os preceitos da Estrat�gia Sa�de da Fam�lia. M�todo: estudo transversal de base populacional com amostra representativa de 340 indiv�duos com 60 anos ou mais residentes na zona urbana de S�o Paulo, SP. Resultados: a �nica vari�vel que apresentou efeito estatisticamente significativo na visita domiciliar foi �passar em consulta m�dica na UBS� (p-valor = 0,0022). O odds ratio estimado para essa vari�vel foi de 2,369, com intervalo de 95% de confian�a. Conclus�o: os resultados do presente estudo mostraram que os idosos avaliados eram mulheres na faixa et�ria de 60 a 69 anos, com baixa escolaridade, renda familiar insuficiente, vivendo sem c�njuge, dependentes do Sistema �nico de Sa�de, havendo presen�a de doen�as cr�nicas com destaque para hipertens�o arterial e incapacidade para desempenho de atividades instrumentais da vida di�ria.�
