Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo fue encontrar la eficiencia de dos extractos como inhibidores de corrosión verde aplicándolo en acero SAE 1010 en medio acido con HCl 1M, los extractos son de origen natural, son considerados respetuosos con el medio ambiente y se caracterizan por ser biodegradables. Se utilizó la extracción soxhlet para la obtención de compuestos químicos del maguey morado y de la cáscara de plátano. La velocidad de corrosión (Vcorr) se evaluó con la técnica gravimétrica de pérdida de peso, donde se obtuvo eficiencia del 91% y 2.63 mg/cm2h con el extracto de la cáscara de plátano y 93% de eficiencia y 1.36 mg/cm2h con el maguey morado en tiempos de inmersión de 6 días, las Vcorr altas indican un deterioro rápido de corrosión. Con la técnica de impedancia electroquímica se obtuvo 91% de eficiencia con el maguey morado y 75% de eficiencia con la cáscara de plátano en tiempos de inmersión de 1 h, que es debido a una formación de película protectora en la superficie del acero.
