Some concepts and terms mentioned in our Turkish grammar books and made use of in the teaching of Turkish, which from time to time used interchangably due to their intersecting features, lead to ambiguity for some terms. Two of these terms that appear to be intertwined are “auxiliary verb” and “ “complementary verb”. In this study, the scope of these two terms will be discussed and a new term, “iauxiliary verb” will be offered
