Bogotá: ¡Miedo al crimen!

Abstract

Se analiza una encuesta sobre percepción de seguridad, delitos que más afectan al público y conductas de respuesta que la inseguridad suscita en la ciudadanía, realizada en Bogotá después de las elecciones territoriales de 2023. El análisis se aparta de los enfoques cuantitativos de tablas de estadísticas que reproducen construcciones sociales simplistas de la criminalidad. En vez, adopta un enfoque que contrapone de manera crítica y razonada interpretaciones disimiles de sus resultados. Concluye que el miedo al delito en Bogotá no responde a la mera exposición a ser victimizado por la delincuencia, sino a agitadas narrativas de reacción ante la misma que exacerban el miedo al delito y la ansiedad asociada al malestar urbano.
