Acción colectiva para fortalecer la agricultura familiar en Colombia

Abstract

La pandemia de Covid-19 ha golpeado duramente a los pequeños agricultores, y especialmente a las mujeres, en América Latina. RIMISP (Centro Latinoamericano para el Desarrollo Rural) ha llevado a cabo una investigación participativa para construir estrategias de mitigación del impacto del Covid-19 sobre los pequeños agricultores y la seguridad alimentaria en el departamento de Huila, en Colombia. El equipo ha colaborado estrechamente con la Secretaría de Agricultura y Minería de la Gobernación del Huila para crear un Grupo Rural de Diálogo que promueva el debate sobre los hallazgos del proyecto con las partes interesadas locales. Actualmente, estos diálogos contribuyen a configurar la agenda del gobierno local en torno a estas cuestiones. El equipo de investigación también está implementando una metodología de fortalecimiento de las capacidades de organizaciones de pequeños productores , que les permita un mejor acceso a los programas públicos.
