Laporan Kasus: Penanganan Flu Kucing akibat Feline Herpesvirus pada Kucing Kampung

Abstract

Feline Herpesvirus tipe 1 (FHV-1) adalah agen penyebab penyakit saluran pernapasan yang menyebabkan rhinitis dan konjungtivitis. Seekor kucing kampung betina berumur 14 bulan dengan bobot 2,01 kg diperiksa dengan keluhan tidak makan selama tiga hari, lemas, dan sering bersin. Pemeriksaan fisik menunjukkan leleran pada kedua mata dan hidung, konjungtiva merah, dan mata buram atau cloudy. Pemeriksaan penunjang dengan tes cepat antigen FHV dan Calicivirus menunjukkan kucing kasus positif FHV. Hasil pemeriksaan hematologi menunjukkan kucing kasus mengalami anemia normositik normokromik dan leukositosis. Hewan didiagnosis menderita flu kucing akibat FHV tipe 1 dengan prognosis fausta. Terapi yang diberikan adalah terapi suportif dengan menjaga hidrasi, nebulasi salbutamol (100 g/ekor) dan gentamisin (8 mg/kg BB) satu kali sehari, L- lysine (500 mg/ekor) dua pompa (2 kali sehari), bromhexin HCl (1 mg/kg BB) secara per oral (2 kali sehari) selama tujuh hari, salep mata framixin satu tetes (2 kali sehari) selama tujuh hari, antibiotik doksisiklin (10 mg/kg BB) per oral (2 kali sehari) selama 14 hari, trimethoprim/sulfonamide (30 mg/kg BB) intramuskuler (sekali setiap 2 hari) selama 12 hari, dan intrafer 𝐵12 (0,02 mg/kg BB) secara intramuskuler di hari ketiga dan kesembilan. Hasil pengobatan selama 12 hari menunjukkan terjadi perubahan leleran kedua mata dan hidung serta frekuensi bersin yang berkurang. Hasil pemeriksaan darah dan mukosa mulut kembali normal.
