Abstract

A metafedrona e a cetamina são duas substâncias psicoativas (SPAs) utilizadas para fins recreativos e que podem ser detetadas nos ecossistemas terrestres devido à irrigação dos solos com águas contaminadas, aplicação de lamas provenientes de estações de tratamento de águas residuais, entre outros. Apesar de chegarem aos solos, pouco se sabe acerca dos efeitos tóxicos que as SPAs podem induzir nos organismos terrestres e na ecologia do solo. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho centrou-se na avaliação dos efeitos genotóxicos da metafedrona e da cetamina na minhoca Eisenia fetida, após um período de exposição de 28 dias. Observou-se que a metafedrona induziu efeitos significativos no ADN para a concentração de 2500 µg/kg, enquanto que a cetamina causou danos no ADN para as concentrações de 250 e 2500 µg/kg. Desta forma, concluiu-se que estas duas SPAs são genotóxicas para esta espécie, mas apenas a concentrações elevadas. Mais estudos são necessários de forma a perceber quais as vias metabólicas que podem induzir estes efeitos no ADN, como por exemplo ao nível do stresse oxidativo das minhocas e as consequências que poderá ter ao nível da defesa imunológica e na dinâmica das suas populações.
