Índices de perigo de incêndios em uma área de transição Cerrado-Amazônia

Abstract

Este trabalho avaliou o desempenho de sete índices de perigo de incêndios (Fórmula de Monte Alegre (FMA) e Monte Alegre Modificada (FMA+), Nesterov, Telitsyn, Ängstrom, P-EVAP e EVAP/P) em uma área de transição Cerrado-Amazônia, pelo método de Skill Score, baseado em dados climáticos obtidos na estação Gleba Celeste, do Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INMET), e dados de focos de calor do Centro de Previsão do Tempo e Estudos Climáticos (CPTEC). O uso do histograma de probabilidade apresentou potencial para definição das classes de risco de incêndios, para os índices de Ängstrom, P-EVAP e EVAP/P. O índice Ängstrom apresentou bons desempenhos em anos com elevado e baixo número de focos de calor (Skill Score de 0,698 e 0,301). A classificação dos índices na região de uso possibilita o melhorar planejamento das ações de prevenção e combate aos incêndios florestais.
