Degradação ruminal da biomassa de fenos de gramíneas do género Cynodon spp.

Abstract

Objetivou-se avaliar a degradabilidade in situ de diferentes dietas a base de fenos de genótipos (Tifton 68, Tifton 85, Jiggs, Russel, Vaquero e Coast cross) pertencente ao gênero Cynodon, em seis ovinos da raça Santa Inês, com peso médio de 40 kg, providos de cânulas ruminais, mantidos em baias individuais. As dietas foram incubadas em ordem decrescente de 96, 72, 48, 24, 12, 6, 3 e 0-h. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental em quadrado latino, com seis tratamentos, seis animais e seis repetições. As dietas, a base de feno de Jiggs, Tifton 68, Coast Cross e Tifton 85, apresentaram degradabilidade potencial acima de 59%. Entretanto, as dietas, a base de feno de Jiggs e Coast cross, apresentaram menores médias (p<0,05) (30,28 e 28,90%) para degradabilidade efetiva, respectivamente em relação as demais dietas. A utilização de feno de gramíneas pertencente ao gênero Cynodon apresenta potencial para utilização em dietas para cordeiros uma vez considerados os parâmetros observados nesta pesquisa.
