Calidad de vida profesional y competencia parental en padres profesionales de niños de educación primaria

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo identificar la relación entre calidad de vida profesional y competencia parental en un grupo de 185 padres profesionales de niños de educación primaria (1°-6°) de Lima Metropolitana, mediante una investigación de corte transversal con un enfoque cuantitativo y diseño correlacional. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos para recopilar datos: Cuestionario de Calidad de Vida Profesional (CVP; Grimaldo & Reyes, 2015) y Escala de Competencia Parental Percibida (ECPP-p; Vera-Vásquez, Zaragoza-Tafur, & Musayón-Oblita, 2014). Los resultados mostraron correlaciones significativas entre algunas dimensiones de calidad de vida profesional y competencia parental. Se evidenció una correlación inversa entre carga laboral y orientación y ocio compartido, de magnitud pequeña (p = -.20). Asimismo, se observó una correlación positiva, también pequeña, entre la dimensión apoyo y la asunción del rol parental (p = .15). Estos hallazgos aportan evidencia sobre la influencia que puede tener la percepción de la calidad de vida profesional, considerando aspectos como la motivación, la carga laboral y el apoyo directivo, en la vivencia del desempeño en el rol parental, lo cual tiene implicancias relevantes para el diseño de estrategias de apoyo a las familias trabajadoras.
