Abstract

En el 2015 se crearon los Colegios de Alto Rendimiento (COAR) siguiendo el modelo del Colegio Mayor Secundario Presidente del Perú, creado en el 2009 (Ministerio de Educación [MINEDU], 2014), que tienen la finalidad de descentralizar la educación y brindar un sistema educativo de calidad y una infraestructura moderna a Estudiantes de Alto Desempeño de 3ro a 5to de secundaria. Actualmente hay un COAR en todas las regiones del Perú, sin embargo, la sede de Lima Metropolitana no cuenta con una infraestructura propia y adecuada, pues se encuentra dentro de las instalaciones del Centro Vacacional Huampaní, por lo que no ha sido diseñada para abastecer las necesidades de los alumnos. El proyecto propone una nueva sede en Lurín donde los espacios no solo se limiten a ser espacios de enseñanza, si no espacios multifuncionales que fomenten la creatividad e interacción entre los alumnos.
