Sistema de visión hiperespectral para el estudio de especies arbóreas tropicales

Abstract

La reducida cantidad de estudios que consideran los aspectos ecofisiológicos de las especies de plantas tropicales se debe en parte al costo elevado de la instrumentación. Sin embargo, la revolución tecnológica de la última década ha permitido desarrollar dispositivos electrónicos de bajo costo y que, aunado a los recursos de la inteligencia artificial, permiten obtener mediciones muy precisas. Todo lo anterior con el objetivo de promover una producción sostenible y de asegurar la conservación de ecosistemas. Este trabajo consiste en el desarrollo de un sistema electrónico capaz de adquirir datos espectrales a partir de imágenes del espectro visible de las hojas y procesar su reflectancia y longitud de onda, con la finalidad de analizar variables fisiológicas (tales como concentraciones de clorofila y nitrógeno) de las especies arbóreas tropicales en peligro de extinción.
