Abstract

No presente trabalho, a largura do cefalotórax (LC), o comprimento do maior quelípodo (CQ), nos machos, e a largura do 5º segmento abdominal (L5), nas fêmeas, de 334 indivíduos de Cardisoma guanhumi, capturados no estuário do Rio Jaguaribe, Ceará, Brasil, entre Dez./06 e Nov./07, foram mensurados. O tamanho da muda puberal foi determinado através do ponto de inflexão da curva na relação LC x CQ e LC x L5. A largura do cefalotórax em que ocorre a muda puberal, foi igual a 7,10 cm, nos machos, e 6,20 cm, nas fêmeas. Foram obtidas as seguintes relações, para juvenis e adultos, respectivamente, dos machos: CQ = 0,0747 LC 2,2826 e CQ = 0,5148LC1,3055; e das fêmeas: L5 = 0,0839LC2,5744 e L5 = 0,6666LC2,0554.
