Abstract

El presente volumen reúne un conjunto de entrevistas representativas del habla culta de Lima, correspondientes a la investigación sobre la norma culta de las principales ciudades hispanoamericanas que coordina Juan Manuel Lope Blanch, cuya parte peruana está a cargo de la autora en el Instituto Riva-Agüero de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Volúmenes análogos se han publicado en otros lugares como México, Madrid, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Sao Paulo, etc. y pueden constituir material comparativo sobre las distintas modalidades urbanas en un mismo sector sociocultural. Como el objetivo fundamental es el estudio de las modalidades lingüísticas urbanas, se han ido extendiendo los materiales y los estudios a otros sectores socioculturales de la población. Algunas ciudades han ido publicando también este material. En el marco de este proyecto, la autora ha realizado estudios en el plano fonético de los cuales, en esta misma serie, se ha publicado el primer volumen: Estudios sobre el español de Lima.I. Variación contextual de la sibilante.
