Abstract

The theme of the qualification work: «Resistance of the pipelines made of cross-linked polyethylene». This study is devoted to the research of hydraulic characteristics and thermal physical properties of the pipelines, made of cross-linked polyethylene theoretically and experimentally, by the comparison with the pipelines made of other materials. Object of research: flow of liquid in the pressure pipeline. Subject of study: Resistance of cross-linked polyethylene pipelines limiting the pressure flow. Such research methods as a review of methodical and literary sources, collection of information, generalization and systematization of data, theoretical calculations, conducting of experiment, analysis and comparison of the obtained data were used in the writing. As a result, a theoretical and experimental comparison of the pipes made of cross-linked polyethylene with the pipes made of other materials was carried out. The influence of the type of connection and the material on the flow capacity of pipelines was found. Conclusions about advantages of using pipes made of cross-linked polyethylene are made.
