Abstract

The work is devoted to the analysis of the results of calculations in a planar and spatial formulation on the example of hydraulic structures of various complexity. In the course of the work, the values of bending moments, displacements and maximum stresses in structures were compared using different design schemes. Using the example of real projects in the PLAXIS software package, a calculation was performed with the subsequent comparison of the obtained values. As a result of the work, it was proved that the use of spatial calculation contributes to the development of more reliable and accurate design solutions for hydraulic structures, which increases their safety and durability. The results obtained will also be useful to engineers and designers involved in the construction of hydraulic structures, as they will be able to make more informed decisions about the most appropriate calculation methods for various types of structures.
