Abstract

Topic of the final qualification work: Justification of the choice of casting method and development of technology for manufacturing the casting of the «VNIITMASH» gearbox. An analysis of various foundry technologies was carried out. Weaknesses and strengths of the most popular and modern technologies are revealed. The main elements of body parts are studied and described. The materials used for the manufacture of metal parts by casting are considered.Various foundry technologies were considered. On the basis of the data obtained, among the considered ones, the technology of pouring in HTS-prosses was selected. Types of HTS-prosses were studied; an alpha-set process was selected to obtain the casting being developed. The technology for the production of castings and parts of the «VNIITMASH» gearbox housing was calculated and described. A gating system for casting has been constructed and depicted. The most critical elements of the casting are identified, profits are calculated. The technology of modeling the process of pouring metal, cooling the casting, temperature distribution in the body of the casting, distribution of gas porosity of the casting of a two-stage horizontal cylindrical reducer, made according to a detailed scheme using the example of the PolySoft modeling package, was studied.
