Abstract

В данной работе изложена современная лингвистическая ситуация в Шотландии. Изучена история возникновения шотландского варианта английского языка. Дана характеристика шотландского варианта английского языка с точки зрения языковой систематики. Приведены грамматические особенности шотландского варианта английского языка. Проанализированы шотландские заимствования в другие языки мира. Проведен анализ образцов шотландской литературы с XVIII по XXI века.

In the given work the modern linguistic situation in Scotland is stated. The history of Scottish English is investigated. The characteristic of Scottish English from language systematics’s point of view is given. Grammar features of Scottish English are lead. Derived words from Scottish English to other languages are investigated. Samples of Scottish literature from XVIII to XXI centuries is analyzed.
