Abstract

The theme of the final qualifying work: "Corrosive damage to the microstructure of chromium-nickel austenite steels". This work is devoted to the study of the microstructure of chromonikel austenitic steel for the presence of corrosion damage in it. This class of steel has very high corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media and good mechanical properties. But they acquire these properties only by proper heat treatment of the metal. Otherwise, it may be prone to intercrystalline corrosion. On the basis of the various sources of literature analyzed, different types of corrosion were studied by the nature of the destruction. Classification and main characteristics of corrosion-resistant steels are considered. For the experimental part, the quality of the sample material from the heat exchange pipe, during the operation of which crack formation occurred, was investigated. The corrosion state of the metal on the inner surface, namely the nature and area of the corrosion zones, was described. An analysis of the microstructure of corrosion-resistant chromium-nickel steel on the inner and outer surfaces near the fracture was carried out on three different samples in order to detect structural changes and intercrystalline corrosion. Chemical composition of inclusions was investigated. Also, possible causes of corrosion destruction were analyzed and measures to prevent this type of corrosion were studied.
