Abstract

A model was developed in MATLAB for a digital information transmission system using OFDM technology. The Rayleigh channel with fading was considered. The negative effects that occur during the transmission of a signal with OFDM through such a channel, and methods of dealing with them are described. Two types of equalizer (ZF and MMSE) and the dependence of the quality of equalization on the number of pilot subcarriers and signal parameters are considered. To evaluate the transfer characteristic on of channel on the information subcarriers, various interpolation methods are considered. Based on the developed model, noise immunity curves are compared for different signal parameters with OFDM in different channel models. Simulation was performed with the coding of the information sequence by different codes (convolutional and LDPC) and interleaving. A laboratory work plan is presented. Each item has a detailed theoretical back-ground. There are a lot of recommendations for writing a model in MATLAB. Many functions that are needed during programming the model are described. Instructions are given on the overall structure of the program. Together with theoretical material, this will allow you to quickly complete and gain in-depth knowledge.
