Abstract

Theme of final qualification work: “Analysis of methods for minimizing the credit risks of a commercial bank when lending to non-financial organizations” In this paper, we examined the concept of credit risk and methods for minimizing it when lending to non-financial organizations. Tasks solved during the study: 1. Analysis of the most common models for calculating credit risk. 2. Consideration of methods to minimization of credit risk used in the Russian Federation and their impact on the state of the banking system and business. 3. Consideration of methods of minimization of credit risk used by PJSC VTB Bank. 4. Offering of an alternative approach to calculating credit risk. 5. Calculation of indicators of credit risk for the bank and recommendations for its reduction. When considering methods to minimize credit risk, the use of models to control the aggregate risk turned out to be more suitable. By usage this model for calculating the credit risk of VTB Bank, we revealed that despite the bank using a different strategy to reduce credit risk, the bank mainly shows positive results in terms of credit risk management. And to further reduce credit risk, the bank may increase reserves for potential losses.
