Abstract

The subject of the graduate qualification work is: «Assessing the impact of complex modifiers on the properties of stone-mastic asphalt mixes». The thesis aim is to investigate the underground tunnels in the residential quarter on the low category roads with the possibility of car storing and providing access to parking lot and apartment building stage. The research set the following goals: the scientific, technical and economic study on the use of complex modifiers for stone and mastic asphalt. The research set the following goals: 1. Analysis of foreign and native experience in the use of stone-mastic asphalt in road construction. 2. The choice of the optimal design system for the stone-mastic asphalt. 3. Analysis of stabilizing and complex additives for stone-mastic asphalt. 4. Selection of compositions of asphalt mixes for the three existing design systems. 5. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the influence of complex modifiers on the physicomechanical properties of stone-mastic asphalt. 6. Technical and economic study on the use of complex modifiers. The following results were achieved based on this investigation: experimental tests were conducted to determine the optimal design system for stone-mastic asphalt, and the effect of complex modifiers on its physical and mechanical characteristics was investigated; the formulation of one of the modifiers has been optimized; an economic calculation was carried out for all tested mixes; the use of complex modifiers as part of mixes was justified.
