Abstract

The given work is devoted to studying of the characteristics of non-woven filter materials that affect the filtration efficiency and the development of methods for evaluating the effectiveness of the filter material. The study discusses the relevance of the question of effective cleaning of air from finely dispersed particles. General concepts and classification of dedusting equipment are given. The features of filtration with non-woven materials are indicated. The characteristics of the filter material that affect the efficiency of dust cleaning are highlighted. A mathematical model of the efficiency of air purification for systems with filter material is presented. A method for evaluating the efficiency of filters based on hydraulic resistance is proposed. The results of tests of non-woven filter materials and filters made of them for breathability, efficiency by the most penetrating particle size (MPPS) and resistance are presented. A comparison of the efficiency of woven and non-woven materials in terms of hydraulic resistance is made.
