Abstract

Features of the surface topography of the porphyrin film on the graphite crystal substrate and the local current-voltage characteristics were studied using a scanning tunneling microscope at ambient conditions. STM images of surface were acquired at scale from some nanometers to 4 micrometers. The local current-voltage characteristics at different bias voltages scale and at different directions of scaling indicate the existence of the metastable electron states in porphyrin.
