The object of the study is network traffic. Objective - to develop an anomalies detection method on the local area network border. In the process, have been considered a model of network traffic, were studied the important properties of traffic, and was given a brief overview of the existing anomaly detection methods. As a result, research has been proposed anomaly detection method using the self-similarity properties, and was conducted a series of tests that show that method is working.
