Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению образа России в современных британских СМИ. Целью данной работы является исследование основных составляющих образа России в газетах Великобритании и способов его формирования. Объектом исследования является образ России, формируемый в общественном сознании Великобритании с помощью периодических печатных изданий. В ходе исследования были проанализированы статьи из трех влиятельных британских газет The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph и одного таблоидного печатного издания The Sun. В результате исследования было выявлено, что образ России в Великобритании является негативным. Данная работа состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка использованных источников и одного приложения. Во введении обосновывается актуальность выбранной темы, указываются объект и предмет исследования, формулируются его цель и задачи. В первой главе дается определение понятию «средства массовой информации», изучаются его составляющие, предоставляется краткая справка ведущих газет Великобритании и рассматриваются предпосылки образа России в контексте исторических взаимоотношений. Во второй главе представлены результаты анализа материалов статей современных британских газет.

This graduation work is devoted to studying the image of Russia in the modern British mass media. The purpose of this work is to find the main components and ways of formation of Russia's image in the newspapers of Great Britain. The object of this thesis is the image of Russia created in the public conscience of Great Britain with the help of periodicals.The study analyzes articles from such influential British newspapers asThe Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph and a tabloid periodicalThe Sun. The study revealed that the image of Russia in the UK has a negative connotation.This work consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a reference list and an appendix. The introduction includes the relevance of the chosen topic, specifies the object and subject of the research, formulates its purpose and objectives. The first chapter provides a definition of the term "mass media", describes its components, provides a brief overview of the leading newspapers in Great Britain and studies the background of the creation ofRussia's image within the context of historical relationship. The second chapter presents the results of the analysis of the articlesin the modern British newspapers. The conclusion states the findings of the study.
