Abstract

The studied glasses had the basic formula 98MgCaSrBaYAl2F14 - 2Ba(PO3)2 with additional content of rare-earth element fluorides in some samples. Matrix defects were induced by irradiation with 1.25 MeV g-rays. Optical absorption in the 200-1100 nm wavelength band was studied with the use of the SPECORD 40 spectrophotometer.
