
El presente artículo, describe la dinámica económica que surge alrededor del caballito de totora, su fabricación y el impacto económico en las familias que conservan la cultura viva a través de la pesca artesanal ancestral, actividades turísticas y de entretenimiento. Para tal fin se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad, fichas de observación, lista de cotejo y la propuesta de fabricación de una tabla de surf híbrida entre el foam y la totora como materia prima en su producción. Todo ello con el propósito de incentivar un modelo económico articulado que beneficie significativamente a las familias artesanas del caballito de totora.
