UTILIZAÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS DE BORRACHA DE PNEUS INSERVÍVEIS NA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

Abstract

Societies across the planet are trying to apply the concepts of sustainability, using alternatives to minimize the impacts caused by the unbridled consumption of raw materials that generate a large volume of waste, and these include waste from civil construction and from tires, all of which were improperly discarded. The objective of this work was to study some possibilities of using rubber waste from useless tires to replace fine aggregate for the production of blocks for the floor of squares, sidewalks and other uses in civil construction. For the work in question, rubber waste from useless tires was used to replace fine aggregate (stone dust) in 25% of sieved and 25% un-sieved rubber waste, for the production of structural concrete for blocks or even other destinations in civil construction. From a technological point of view, in relation to concrete with 25% replacement of stone dust by rubber, it was found that there was a considerable increase in compressive strength.
