El desarrollo histórico de los principios cooperativos en la Alianza Cooperativa Internacional

Abstract

Los principios cooperativos que delimita la Alianza Cooperativa Internacional, no son inmutables, sino que han ido evolucionando a la vez que lo han hecho las cooperativas para dar respuesta a las demandas de una sociedad cambiante con el tiempo. En este trabajo se realiza una revisión histórica de las tres versiones de principios cooperativos que ha efectuado Alianza Cooperativa Internacional, comenzando desde el nacimiento de dicho organismo, hasta los actuales siete principios cooperativos fijados en la Declaración sobre la identidad cooperativa del Congreso de Manchester de 1995, y continuando con la interpretación más reciente de esos principios reflejada en las Notas de orientación de 2015 y el actual proceso abierto para su posible revisión iniciado en el Congreso de Seúl de 2021.
