Streaming Media is a technology, which allows presenting multimedia objects in a resource saving way. It offers for example the possibility for users to interact by spooling backward and forward. This Poster will explain basic terms of streaming, provide information about products and distributors of the several software components, and show how to integrate streaming objects into a website. We will show that this relatively young technology is already widely used in teaching at Humboldt-University.
