Intertextualidad en la novela posmoderna: el “extraño caso” de Te trataré como a una reina

Abstract

El estudio de estructuras intertextuales en la literatura contemporánea es ya un repertorio básico de la crítica literaria. La novela de Rosa Montero Te trataré como a una reina, publicada en 1983, en un momento culminante del debate de la posmodernidad en Europa, ha sido objeto de múltiples estudios en cuanto a sus referencias intertextuales. Estos estudios se centran principalmente en el género del bolero como pre-texto, a cuyo sentimentalismo remite el título trivialmente romántico de la novela (Knights 1999: 115). Mientras que la función del bolero como comentario irónico de la acción y como contraste sentimental respecto de una realidad dominada por la violencia y la banalidad ha sido ampliamente reconocida, las relaciones intertextuales en todo su espectro, desde las referencias de texto único hasta las referencias de género, que desempeñan un papel primordial en la estructura total de la novela, no han recibido demasiada atención y es el propósito de este artículo.
