Simulación de Eventos Fenológicos Mediante el Modelo de Distribución de Retardos de Tiempo: Estudio de Caso en Botones Florales y Frutos de Café

Abstract

<p>El modelo de distribución de retardos de tiempo se utiliza ampliamente en la modelación ecológica para simular la dinámica de poblaciones, principalmente de insectos, aunque también se usa para modelar procesos de crecimiento y desarrollo en plantas, en los que las etapas fenológicas son un elemento importante. En este trabajo se presenta el desarrollo matemático de dicho modelo en forma amplia y explícita para permitir la comprensión de todos los detalles. Además se desarrolla el modelo en una hoja electrónica de cálculo fácilmente reproducible con el fin de que el lector pueda implementarlo y analizar los aspectos que considere pertinentes. Finalmente se presenta un ejemplo en el cual se modela la distribución de tiempos de desarrollo de botones y frutos de café, obteniéndose un ajuste apropiado del modelo a los datos experimentales.</p>
