Un Índice Regional de Competitividad para un país

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se presenta una propuesta para el desarrollo de un Indice de Competitividad Regional de un pais que forma parte de una investigacion integral de medicion del nivel de competitividad. Con esta propuesta se aspira a posicionar un nuevo enfoque para la competitividad, al medir como en determinada region de un pais se administran los recursos y capacidades para incrementar sostenidamente la productividad empresarial y el bienestar de su poblacion. Se identificaron los determinantes de la competitividad de las regiones, denominandolos pilares: i) gobierno e instituciones; ii) desarrollo economico; iii) infraestructura productiva; iv) capital humano, y v) eficiencia de las empresas. Para cada uno de ellos se identificaron cinco factores y sus variables con que se miden diversos aspectos de la competitividad regional. Estos constituyen un segundo y tercer nivel de desagregacion que aportan al analisis que se puede realizar con los resultados que se obtengan
