En este trabajo analizaremos algunas cuestiones epistemológicas de un movimiento denominado Estudios Visuales, que se presentó en distintos contextos académicos y de investigación. Esto, desde un pensamiento crítico, como el de la escuela de Frankfurt (Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin y Siegfried Kracauer) y a partir de los conceptos y figuras que proponen Gilles Deleuze y Michel Foucault. Se indaga sobre algunos supuestos y categorías en torno a la visualidad, como la iconicidad, la mirada y la imagen, a partir de los modos de subjetivación que implican las narrativas audiovisuales.
