Abstract

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out with the aim of Assessing the quality of pastures and animals determine supportability, in an area of 143.573 ha, of irregular topography, cold weather, more 4000 m altitude, farm animals graze Where Relatively low production. For the evaluation of pasture has-been applied the method of transection to step Considering desirable species, some desirable and undesirable for breeds of cattle, sheep and alpacas, the measurement of force index fodder, vigor index and other factors Considered related to the determination of the condition of pastures, supportability and stocking. It found three key partnerships: A = Festuchetum-Stipetum-Calamagrosetum With 29,550 ha (20.58%), B = Festuchetum-Muhlenbergietum, with 57.973 ha (40.38%) and C = Festuchetum-Stipetum-Margiricarpetum With 56.050 ha (39.04%). The dry matter production was 820.17 kg / ha With an average load of 1,156 UO for the association A; 502.46 Kg / ha with a load of 1,008 B UO for the association; and 604.55 kg / ha with a load of 1,027 UO for the association C. Factors Affecting the growth of grasses are low temperature and dry environment dry and cold weather own altitude and intense sun radiation; In This sense, we are not found pasture areas first, second or third class.

Keywords: Association, quality, management, grasslands, condition.
