Realismo Científico

Abstract

El presente trabajo ofrece una visión crítica y general del realismo científico, explorando sus debates y variantes a partir de la aceptación selectiva de algunos de sus componentes. El realismo científico, como posición en el debate entre el realismo y el antirrealismo, se compone de diversas tesis fundamentales, aunque algunos representantes matizan o reinterpretan ciertos elementos. Esto ha dado lugar a los llamados realismos selectivos. Este trabajo sostiene que las tesis ontológicas y epistemológicas son esenciales para definir la postura realista. Además, examinar las tesis sobre los objetos científicos y del sentido común permite analizar la relación entre el realismo del sentido común y el científico. Se resaltará que el realismo científico no es una postura uniforme, sino que en su interior existen tensiones y debates derivados tanto de críticas antirrealistas como de discrepancias entre realistas, lo que da origen a ciertas variantes.
