Med mål om et bedre barnevern

Abstract

Artikkelen tar utgangspunkt i de formålene som lå til grunn for forslag til den nye barnevernsloven. Gjennom bruk av eksempler fra enkeltbestemmelser i vedtatt lov 18. juni 2021 nr. 97 om barnevern (barnevernsloven 2021, bvl. 2021) vises hvordan formålene som lå til grunn for utviklingen av den nye barnevernsloven, er forsøkt støttet opp om gjennom lovbestemmelser. På denne måten framheves så vel forskjeller som likheter mellom lov 17. juli 1992 nr. 100 om barneverntjenester (1992-loven, barnevernloven fra 1992) og den nye barnevernsloven som etter planen trer i kraft 1. januar 2023.
