Actitudes sexistas en estudiantes universitarios

Abstract

El presente estudio busca identificar las actitudes sexistas que presentan los estudiantes de psicología de una universidad privada en la ciudad de Arequipa, Perú. Para ello, se utilizaron las versiones reducidas de la Escala de Sexismo Ambivalente hacia las Mujeres (ASI) y la Escala de Actitudes Ambivalentes hacia los Hombres (AMI), las cuales constan de 12 ítems tipo Likert con respuestas que van del 0 al 5 para cada escala. Los instrumentos se aplicaron de forma virtual a los estudiantes a través de un formulario en Google. Este trabajo constituye un estudio observacional analítico transversal realizado durante el segundo semestre académico de 2022. La muestra estuvo conformada por 57 estudiantes de la carrera de Psicología, la mayoría de ellos en el segundo ciclo de estudios. Los resultados generales no muestran una diferencia marcada en las actitudes sexistas de los participantes. En cuanto al género, se encontró que los hombres presentan niveles moderados de sexismo benevolente hacia las mujeres, mientras que las mujeres presentan niveles moderados de sexismo hostil hacia los hombres.
