Sostenibilidad Urbana en América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

Este documento presenta un análisis de la sostenibilidad urbana en América Latina y el Caribe. El trabajo está compuesto por seis secciones. La segunda sección expone una reseña de la relación entre urbanización y desarrollo económico a nivel internacional y regional. La tercera sección presenta la evolución del concepto de sostenibilidad en el ámbito urbano en los últimos años. La cuarta sección muestra los principales retos que afectan la sostenibilidad de las ciudades de ALC, mientras que la quinta sección establece los fundamentos de una propuesta metodológica para abordar el estudio integral de la sostenibilidad urbana de las ciudades de la región. El trabajo culmina con las reflexiones finales que se ofrecen en la sexta sección.
