Abstract

DESDE UNA PERSPECTIVA PROCESUAL, ESTE ARTÍcULO EXPLORA y ANALIZA LAS formas de configuración social de poder regional durante los años previos al asesinato de Jorge Eliécer Gaitán y el impacto que el magnicidio tuvo en dicho proceso. El autor destaca el mejor posicionamiento logrado por los grupos sociales marginados como consecuencia de las transformaciones sociopoliticas ocurridas en la década de 1930 y 1940, señala las tensiones que esto generó entre los sectores establecidos y, tras el 9 de abril de 1948, nota un cambio considerable en los equilibrios de poder entre los sectores sociales que contraviene la tendencia antes mencionada.
