Una mirada atenta

Abstract

El primer escrito muestra por qué es posible una investigación de naturaleza sociológica sobre la moral de una sociedad, en general, y de la sociedad colombiana, en particular. El segundo intenta definir lo que habría de entenderse por Ética, y por lo que significa decir que “la ética es una investigación filosófica”. El tercero y el cuarto examinan el significado de las palabras “ética” y “moral” en los textos de los filósofos, desde Aristóteles hasta M. Foucault. El quinto advierte una continuidad por partida doble entre el Protágoras y el Gorgias: una que está dada, sobre todo, por la gran similitud que Platón veía entre la sofística y la retórica, otra que se da por un crescendo irónico y polémico fincado en las líneas fundamentales de la teoría política que Platón determinó en el lapso que separa la redacción de los dos diálogos. El sexto halla en El Banquete la real actitud de Sócrates con respecto a un amor que tiene que ver con la ironía, con algo de Sócrates mismo que se transforma en encubrimiento revelador de la relación de eros con el deseo de saber. El séptimo trata de Montaigne y de esa forma de escribir que es el ensayo. El octavo es une exposición del pensamiento de Sigmund Freud.
