BİRİNCİ DÜNYA SAVAŞI’NDA BALKANLARDA ERMENİ SEFERBERLİĞİ VE ERMENİ GÖNÜLLÜLERİ

Abstract

Osmanli Devleti’nin Birinci Dunya Savasi sirasinda Ermenileri sevk ve iskân etmesinin en onemli sebeplerinden birisi, Ermeni komitecilerin Itilaf Devletleri, ozellikle Rusya ordusuna her yonden yardimda bulunmalaridir. Daha Osmanli Devleti savasa girmeden baslayan Ermen komitelerinin Rusya ile diyaloglari, savas sirasinda Ermenilerin gonullu birlikler halinde Osmanli topraklarindan, Avrupa ve ABD’den Kafkas cephesine katilmalari ile sonuclanmistir. XIX. yuzyildan itibaren Balkan cografyasinda teskilatlanmaya baslayan Ermeni Tasnaksutyun ve Hincak cemiyetleri, savas sirasinda ozellikle Bulgaristan ve Romanya’da Rus diplomatlarinin da yonlendirmeleri ile gonullu kaydina baslayarak bunlari Rus ordusuna gondermislerdir. Komiteler boylece savas sonunda Dogu Anadolu’da bagimsiz bir Ermenistan’in kurulmasi icin calistiklarini aciklamislardir. Bulgaristan ve Romanya’da bulunan Osmanli Devleti elcileri komitelerin calismalarini yakindan takip ederek gonullu hareketi ile ilgili bilgileri Istanbul’a gondermislerdir. Sofya, Bukres, Ruscuk, Kostence, Ibrail, Sunne ve Varna, Ermeni komitelerinin gonullu toplama ve Rusya’ya sevk etme isinde en yogun calistiklari sehirlerdir. Bu sehirlerdeki Osmanli temsilcileri Ermenilerin gayri kanuni calismalarini onlemek icin yerel yonetimler nezdinde tesebbuslerde bulunmuslar ancak Ermenilerin gonullu olarak Rus ordusuna katilmalarini onleyememislerdir. Bu calismada Basbakanlik Osmanli Arsivi belgeleri ve diger kaynaklar isiginda Ermeni komitelerinin gonullu olarak Rus ordusuna katilma surecleri ve Balkanlarin bu surecteki rolu ele alinmistir.
