Abstract

Im islamischen Antisemitismus werden die negativsten Judenbilder aus Christentum und Islam vereint. Nur hier werden die muslimischen Überlieferungen von jüdischer Schwäche und Feigheit mit der paranoiden Vorstellung von Juden als den heimlichen Herrschern der Welt verknüpft. Der nachfolgende Aufsatz untersucht zum einen die wichtigsten Dokumente des islamischen Antisemitismus – das Pamphlet Islam-Judentum (1937), Sayyid Qutbs Our Struggle With the Jews (ca. 1951) und die Charta der Hamas (1988). Er beleuchtet zum anderen die besondere Rolle, die Nazi-Deutschland und dessen arabisch-sprachige Propaganda bei der Entstehung und der Verbreitung dieser spezifischen Form von Judenhass spielte und geht auf die Folgewirkungen der antisemitischen Nazipropaganda im Nahen Osten für die Zeit nach 1945 ein. Ein besonderes Kapitel befasst sich mit der Frage, warum ausgerechnet dieser Aspekt der deutschen Geschichte bei Wissenschafter/inne/n und Politiker/inne/n hierzulande wenig Aufmerksamkeit erfährt. Abschließend werden vor dem Hintergrund neuerer Entwicklungen wie dem Abraham-Abkommen die aktuell wichtigsten Kampagnen des islamischen Antisemitismus vorgestellt.
